A Fairytale in Open Air

Portland is an Indie-Dreampop band from Belgium. Formed in 2015 by musical soulmates Jente Pironet and Sarah Pepels, they created a signature style of melancholic melodies paired with dreamy vocals. The wider world started to take note when they made it to the final round of Humo’s 2016 Rock Rally and went on to win Studio Brussel’s De Nieuwe Lichting just 2 years later, a win that gave them name recognition and a solid fan base. Their debut album “Your Colours Will Stain” was released to rave reviews.

In the summer of 2020, Portland played an intimate yet Covid-proof, open-air showcase on the evergreen grounds of DAFT Studios for a handful of die-hard fans who had won a contest organized by telecom provider Proximus.

CK Productions was brought in by DAFT Studios and Proximus to livestream Portland’s performance. This live stream outside the studios was then re-edited and mastered for Pickx, a media distributer owned by Proximus. You can catch a glimpse of the dreamlike night here.
